On, Tuesday, January 12, an earthquake with a 7.3 magnitude rocked and devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The earthquake crushed the national palace, the cathedral, hospitals, schools, a prison and entire neighborhoods. Even the United Nations office collapsed and between 50 – 100 staff members are missing. While there is no official count, thousands are feared dead.
In effort to help the impoverished nation, South Florida’s top promoters and entertainment companies have teamed up with the Carma Foundation (www.carmafoundation.org) to raise money. Founded by Melky Jean, Wyclef Jean’s sister, Carma’s mission is to improve the health of poor vulnerable women and children in Haiti. Before the earthquake, Haiti had the highest poverty level in the western hemisphere. It is evident that the recent earthquake has plunged the country into further hardship. Haiti needs our help.
The event will be held on Monday, January 18 at Karma Nightclub in South Beach, FL.

The "Leap Year EP"

"Ladies & Gentlemen... Introducing... St. LaRok!!!" From day 1 I heard this guy spit I knew he was the real deal. From his delivery right down to his lyrical construction St. LaRok is the complete opposite of the watered down rapper of today. With amazing features already under his belt (Flow Official's "Played Out" & the multiple collabos on DaVincci's "Sneak Peek Mixtape") the fellow "Beat Wave" member drops his long awaited solo EP. All I have to say is listen and let yourself be re-introduced to the real side of HipHop. You heard it here first, holla!
" This EP marks a step into the forefront; a milestone from fear of scrutiny or failure. Produced entirely alongside my crew, Miami Beat Wave, it symbolizes a journey beginning with a leap of faith, and resulting in a compilation of works that embody a year's worth of collaborative effort, struggle, and sacrifice.
These songs are heart and soul, mixed in with a little ingenuity and a lot of creative influence. On behalf of myself and MBW, we present the Leap Year EP. "
